Indeed, Tiktok has great potential for growth, and will be a great tool for SMM.
Great article! I would like to offer my two cents on Tiktok.
Trump seems to have misplaced his efforts in times of pandemic. On the contrary, I thought what he did was smart.
He is raging a political war as a businessman - what he was before becoming a president.
This move may be the second most important event yet of this year. By giving TikTok the ultimatum of 45 days to either be banned or be bought, Trump is making a power move just in time to show America who should be President. Else, 45 days ultimatum is unheard of in sanction laws (even for Huawei case). It is essentially blackmail by a megalomaniac.
The recent offer by Microsoft of 20–30 billion has undercut the actual value of TikTok at 50. ( That is a whole 20 billion lost!) And as the date near September, the valuation will only drop.
The implication for the rest of the world is huge too, because China is now caught in a Catch-22 where it cannot protect TikTok to only prove Trumps accusation of its stake in the company, nor can it let watch its company and potentially hurt other Chinese companies in the future.
It did not help that the business-minded CEO of Tiktok is so keen to undersell the company, without much thought of its politic implication to other globalised chinese companies.
By September, we will see TikTok be banned or be bought. Till then, we do well to try checking out alternatives like ByteApp and Reels.
